  • Condition: Two MDR8000 microwave radios, used for training. These are made from parts in the lower 6GHz band. This pair has been used for technical training for several years and they work great back-back. It is time for them to find a new home as we are limiting our online training offerings. The radios are currently mounted in two 4' (foot) racks with a power supply and two R-28 DS3 Multiplexers. The radios are configured as 3DS3. Additionally, there is a box of spare cards and local oscillators acquired over time. For a training or non-profit organization, I will donate the radios and spare cards. For a commercial organization, I will sell them for a minimal price. In either case the buyer must arrange and pay for shipping from Cedar City, Utah. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical school or college, or any other training organization.

    Description

    Working MDR8000 microwave radio pair.  These radios were made for training from acquired parts and work great back-to-back.  They are configured in the lower 6GHz band and operate as monitored hot standby.  They are not presently configured to be licensed for on-air use however, it could happen with effort.
    These are training or repair center radios, come with a complete set of spare cards and have been used in many training classes including conventions for many years.  The goal is to give these to a training organization, school, non-profit or commercial organization.  If a non-profit or school, you cost is shipping for a commercial or radio company please contact seller for a minimal price.  In all cases, the buyer will be responsible for transportation (shipping) from Cedar City, Utah.
    The racks also include a power supply, and two (one in each rack) R-28 DS3 NEC multiplexers.  The radios are configured as 3-DS3.
